Privacy policy: MAIO GEO Scanner for ChatGPT

Who we are.

This app is operated by MAIO AI TECHNOLOGIES LTD (maioai.com), Israel, which is responsible for this policy.

What we collect.

• When you create a MAIO account: your email address and a password, which we store only as a one-way hash. You type them on maioai.com, never in ChatGPT.
• Optional: if you tick the box at sign-up, your agreement to receive occasional emails from MAIO, with the time and wording you agreed to.
• When you use the app: an account number (a random identifier, not your email), the time of your first and last use, and how many pages you have checked.
• For each page you check: the page address and the scan result (scores and signals read from that public page). The scanner's technical log lines hold the address, the score, how long it took and any error code. They do not hold your account number.
• Our web server records the network address of each request. Depending on how ChatGPT connects, that address can belong to an OpenAI server or to your own device.

What we do not collect.

Your name, your ChatGPT account or conversations, your location, or payment details.

Why.

To sign you in, to produce the score and explanation you asked for, to apply fair-use limits per person, to prevent abuse and keep the service running. If you opted in, to send you marketing emails about MAIO. We do not send marketing email to anyone who has not opted in. Account messages, such as a welcome email, are sent to everyone who creates an account.

Who receives it.

Our hosting provider, UpCloud, processes the data on our behalf. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising. OpenAI processes your ChatGPT conversation under its own terms; this policy does not cover that.

How long we keep it.

• Account data: until you delete your account.
• App usage record (account number, first and last use, count): until you delete your account.
• Quota records (one per scan: account number, website, time): 2 days.
• Scanner log lines: kept in size-limited rotating log files; the oldest lines are deleted automatically as new ones are written.

Your choices.

You can delete your account and the app's records for it by writing to privacy@maioai.com from your account address. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us. You can disconnect the app in ChatGPT at any time, which stops it from using your account.

Children.

The app is not directed at children.
